The ‘Grandma Pie’ — A mainstay of the classic New York slice shop, a square pizza with a deeper crust baked until light and fluffy inside and crisp on the bottom.
We use our Nell’s house dough, fermented for 72 hours, then topped and baked in our oven, right here at Nell’s. From our kitchen to yours.
Original cheese pizza: made with crushed tomato, house mozzarella blend, parmesan and extra virgin olive oil. (Serves 1 to 2)
The Nell’s team have been developing Nell’s at Home for a LONG time. NY style pizza doesn’t travel so we’ve spent a lot of time at the drawing board working out how to stay true to what Nell’s is at heart...
We turned to another great staple of the NY slice bar, the Grandma Pie. Same dough, same toppings, same great taste - a square pizza with a thicker crust tray baked to crispy, bubbly perfection. We thought this might be our solution and after some tweaking and testing, it was.
Ingredients: Organic British flour, crushed tomato, Mozzarella cheese, salt, vegetarian hard cheese, rapeseed oil, sugar, yeast.
Allergens: Gluten, Milk Suitable for Vegetarians. This product was made in a kitchen which also handles Nuts and Soya.
